P.T.R College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2001 by Sasikala Memorial Educational Trust under the able guidance of our Chairman LION.Thiru R.Pandian M.A. The institute is ISO 9001-2008 certified and offers Five UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMMES 1)COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING 2)ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING 3)ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING 4)MECHANICAL ENGINEERING 5)CIVIL ENGINEERING.

The college has very good infrastructure, well equipped labs comprising of all in one desktops to CNC milling and CNC lathe. Well qualified and dedicated faculty, take care of the students in their curricular and co-curricular activities. A full-fledged placement cell guides the students towards placements, prepares them for aptitude tests, group discussion and conducts mock interviews. In the changing industrial scenario students are encouraged to take up Branch oriented jobs and sufficient exposure is given to take up entrepreneurship.
